Kim Feller-Janus, Founder – B.S. University of Wisconsin – Madison, M.Ed George Mason University, and 316 Reading Teacher Certification, Viterbo University

Kim is a former public school classroom teacher, Reading Interventionist and Reading Specialist. She left the public schools in 2014 to open Auburn Reading Center, LLC where she could have more of an impact on student learning. Within a few months Kim knew that there would be a continual stream of students walking through her doors as the needs of young struggling readers were not being met at school.

As a passionate teacher and strong advocate for children, Kim decided to revisit her childhood dream of opening her own school. That dream all started with a book that provided long summer afternoons of daydreaming about what it would be like to grow up to become both a mother and a teacher much like the characters from Little House on the Prairie.  Well, her childhood dream transformed in a way that is not quite as simplistic as the one-room schoolhouse of the pioneer days. Today’s dream school is now a real school that will impact thousands of children.
