Teacher Training

In an effort to close the literacy gap in Dane County, Feller School experts work collaboratively with all schools to share our science-based approach to literacy instruction. Our Teacher Training Center schedule offers various classes and workshops to educators interested in learning how to teach all of their students to read by Third Grade. It also provides opportunities for teachers to learn how to intervene instruction for older students (above Fourth Grade) who are struggling with learning to read. Teachers will learn how to identify symptoms of dyslexia as well as the brain research which explains how good readers are able to read proficiently.

Teacher training classes are available monthly. The Teacher Training Center is also available to all educators in the area to rent the space for professional development of their choice. While the training supports all students whose lives the trained educators touch, monies raised help support the mission of Feller School.
